The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Suspension System Tuning (SST) leads the design, development and delivery of those Chassis systems that significantly contribute to the client's vehicle dynamics performance whilst delivering customer comfort systems. SST are responsible for active suspension systems, which include Active Roll Control, Adaptive Damping and Air Suspension, and passive suspension systems, such as dampers, roll bars and springs. The vision of the SST team is to increase the use of CAE methods to improve the efficiency, robustness and timing of engineering design decisions and to reduce the reliance on physical test methods/ This role is critical in supporting the SST CAE vision and the development of an Automated Design Toolset, which will enable robust component and system designs to be generated rapidly. The successful candidate will lead the development of this toolset for all SST components and systems.

Catia V5/V6 Parametric Modelling Catscript/VBA Scripting Multi-Disciplinary Optimization Techniques

Experience Required:
Engineering degree. - Ability to work closely with others to identify project opportunities and requirements. - Strong project management capabilities, including managing tasks across a team to meet all deliverables in a timely and effective manner. - Experience of developing tools and processes that maximise efficiency benefits. - Comfortable providing coaching and guidance to other engineers

Experience Preferred:
Experience using MBS analysis tools (preferably SIMPACK)
Experience using 1D modelling tools (preferably MATLAB/Simulink or AMESim)
Experience using FEA techniques
Good knowledge of Chassis systems
