The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Technical Support Engineer - The position is to support the client's Structural and Vehicle Safety testing laboratory delivering robust measurements supporting vehicle engineering design requirements. The role requires the applicant to maintain the testing infrastructure including Instrumentation, control systems, rig automation systems, high speed data acquisition and high speed camera systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Instrumentation, transducers, data Logging , basic analysis of collected data, PLC Programming. Experience with working with test facilities, setting up instrumentation and transducers to be incorporated within a testing environment. Applicants should be familiar with setting up measurement and data logging systems identifying and rectifying problems where they exist.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Familiar with high speed filming, automation or mechatronic systems, IT systems, electronic build and theory. The applicant will also have worked in a test area and understand the requirements for robust and accurate measurements. Knowledge of electro-hydraulic testing systems within a vehicle testing environment would be an advantage. Experience of working with electrohydraulic testing systems would be an advantage along with working within an automotive testing environment. Desirable:- Degree: Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Maths, Systems Engineering, Physics.
