The Role:
The service holder is responsible, within the SPS Package of the project, for all activities related to the SPS Control System, specifically during Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering. He represents the Company technical authority for this discipline (SPS Control System). The service holder organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works relative to the SPS Control System as well as works and studies performed by the various contractors for whom he is the contact point.
As such, the service holder is responsible for the timely development of the discipline-related documentation (Particular Project Specification, drawings, etc.), and participates to the development of Basic Engineering by Contractor (control of Contractor’s documentation with regards to specifications), to the evaluation of bidders during the tendering phase up to the Recommendation to Award, to the development of Detailed Engineering by Contractor(s) (control of Contractors’ documentation with regards to specifications and contractual requirements).
The service holder shall also ensure that all engineering interfaces between SPS Control System and other concerned disciplines or packages (XT, WH, IWOCS, SURF Umbilical, FPSO ICSS) are dully dealt with and managed and shall take part to their management.
The service holder is also responsible for validating the tests and qualification status of the SPS Control System (procedure / programme / report) and shall remain, during the construction / installation / commissioning phases and with regards to the discipline, the correspondent for any engineering related problem, for any advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
The service holder shall liaise permanently with other technical engineers in order to ensure adequacy and consistency of the technical solutions and more generally, of the development of SPS Control System within the whole design of facilities.
The service holder participates to the achievement of SPS team objectives in terms of HSE, quality, costs and schedule.
The service holder reports to the SPS Engineering Leader.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSE rules within his area of responsibility.

1. To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE and to implement HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
2. To be aware of related-discipline Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms and standards, extracting all applicable requirements for the project.
3. To define, develop, issue and have validated all the necessary technical documentation related to the discipline (Project Particular Specifications) and necessary for the Basic Engineering and for the tendering process.
4. To follow-up Basic Engineering Contractor’s activities related to the discipline and ensure compliance with Company/Project specifications and with the requirements of the project documentation. To participate to weekly and/or monthly co-ordination meetings with Basic Engineering Contractor as appropriate.
5. To ensure that QHSE issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the discipline-related technical documents.
6. To participate to meetings/workshops with potential bidders before the tendering phase to clarify technical issues related to the discipline ahead of Call for Tenders. To participate, for the discipline, in the evaluation of tenders, in the ranking of tenders, and in the issue of final Recommendation to Award.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): 10-15
Good knowledge of subsea disciplines and detailed knowledge of SPS Control System.
Experience with integration and testing of subsea systems
Offshore experience with installation of subsea structures

Experience in similar position (years): +/+ 10
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent Relevant degree in a suitable engineering discipline.
Languages: English mandatory
