The Company:
A Major Oil & Gas Operator

The Role:
The SPS HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Contractor and Company’s Supervision Team suitably controls the implementation of the Package Health, Safety and Environment Management (HSE) Plan and Program in accordance with the contractual requirements, the Company’s approved HSE procedures and the HSE Standard requirements.

1. To control that CONTRACTOR is in full compliance with the local regulations and the Contract requirements.
2. To ensure that CONTRACTOR is carrying out periodic training sessions for the labour force as well as all other personnel assigned at Site.
3. To control the proper and timely issue by CONTRACTOR of HSE reports of incidents, accidents and near misses.
4. To report on the HSE matters and possible related problems to Package and HSE Management.
5. To centralise the data related to Safety for the purpose of the preparation of the SPS Package and HSE Management weekly and monthly reports, and to write the corresponding narratives.
6. To ensure that CONTRACTOR and sub-contractors and all personnel of the Package actually abide by the HSE procedures.
7. To ensure that HSE policies are properly implemented on Sites.
8. To control and monitor the efficiency of the Emergency Response Plan of the contractors by participating in the Management of sites drills.
9. To contribute to Contractors Hazards and Risk Evaluations.
10. To ensure that all equipments and materials used for the project are fit for purpose
11. To control, monitor and contribute to the HSE incentive program


- To Monitor HSE Performance of Construction and Testing activities of the Contractor work sites
- Participation in weekly HSE inspections and Audits of construction sites
- Ensure the involvement of the Contractor Management in HSE activities (Management visits, meetings etc…)
- Availability on field for advises and motivating actions
- To prepare the SPS HSE Monthly report

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications: Degree in HSE or experienced in HSE matters

Professional experience: Minimum 5 years in the Oil and Gas production Projects

Experience of HSE Management in FPSO /FPU Project context: Minimum 3 years

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Complete fluency in English
Capacity to work with Contractors and staff personnel from different countries
Ability to communicate with visual aids (PowerPoint Presentations)
