The Role:
Houston Based w/Business Travel 30-40%

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Global Supply Chain Team, the successful candidate will provide continuous development and implementation of the Supplier Quality Management Program and Processes in Houston, TX. In this position, you will interface with Global Supply Chain, Developments, Operations, D&C and E&P Technology to develop and implement Supplier QA/QC requirements and processes that ensure equipment, materials, and services meet requirements. You will also interface with suppliers that include site visits, audits, corrective action plan reviews and supplier development. The Program will also provide information to the technical teams to assess modifications to specifications and procedures.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement Supplier QA/QC processes to ensure equipment, materials, and services meet requirements and that lessons are absorbed by the organization.
• Provide Supplier QA/QC management / process improvement expertise to the Team to ensure that supplier quality management issues are addressed proactively and globally.
• Develop and manage strategic QA/QC processes for contracting and procurement activities
• Develop key performance indicators for supplier performance as required and prepare appropriate supply chain and contracting documentation
• Identify critical supplier conditions such as excess, lack of, incorrect supply base, as required to support business needs
• Develop expansion or contraction of supply base category groups with category managers and manage the negotiating of supplier commercial viability for integration into approved vendor list
• Respond to Process Defects as it pertains to supplier conditions, quality, delivery, and supply management issues
• Administer local audit programs including strategic supplier audits by scheduling and/or performing these audits and be Client representative to 3rd party auditors
• Communicate to the team to ensure information is available in a timely manner including key dates and milestones for supplier development activities
• Identify key quality risks and the associated mitigation strategies
• Work with the Team to ensure supplier quality best practices are identified / applied and that corporate leverage is gained where possible
• Build strong working relationships with business partners to understand their requirements, drivers and timelines
• Recommend legal and commercial terms to achieve optimal business results
• Support the budget, management reporting, AFE processes

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Required Proven Skills
• Use of Lean / Six Sigma Methodology and Techniques to improve supplier quality, reduce cost, improve delivery performance, and improve project / commodity efficiency (E)
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization (E)
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, establish targets, and develop implementation plans in support of business objectives (E)
• Ability to actively engage and respect the diverse contributions of multi-cultural/national teams (E)

Important Skills to have
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including strategic sourcing, market analysis, risk analysis
• Knowledge of supplier QA/QC programs
• Ability to develop and lead quality improvement teams
• Knowledge of contract language with ability to draft KPI’s and supplier performance management (I)
• Ability to work within a project environment with critical drivers, milestones and timelines (I)
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills (I)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline (Masters Preferred).
• Six Sigma Green Belt (Minimum)
• ISO Internal Auditor (Minimum)

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5-10 years experience with 2+ years related to Supplier QA/QC or Manufacturing / Operations Process improvement preferably in an Oil & Gas industry focus
• Supply chain management experience preferably in engineering, procurement, construction and installation services and material
