The Company:
Our client is a leading global supplier of consultancy, engineering, and project management services in the the world's oil and gas, minerals and metals, clean energy, environmental and infrastructure markets.

The Role:
This role will form an integral part of the Supply Chain Management function of a major project, which is responsible for the end to end management of the external supply chain in the provision of equipment, materials and subcontracted services provided by third party suppliers.

Key objectives will include:
• Coordinate the inspection of goods at the suppliers from issue of purchase order through to issue of release note
• Ensure the supplied goods meet the requirements of the requisition, applicable specifications, statutory and EU requirements
• Assist the Project QA Engineers in the pre-assessment of suppliers
• Identify those purchase orders requiring inspection and ensure that they are complete with all the necessary attachments and endorsements in order that they may be allocated to the Field Inspectors via an inspection assignment package
• Review Suppliers' Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans and ensure they relate to inspection and test requirement for supplied equipment
• Provide guidance to Field Inspectors in meeting inspection requirements
• Check inspection reports and release notes from Field Inspectors and initiate any action required
• Make up and assign inspection assignment packages to the third party inspection agency.
• Arrange and chair pre-inspection meeting at the suppliers works

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The position requires previous experience of coordinating field inspectors who will have technical queries to resolve, therefore the successful candidate will need to have knowledge of static equipment (ie. vessel manufacture and rotating equipment) and must also hold (or have held) inspection qualifications in NDT and preferable hold ONC or equivalent.
