The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a SQS Coordinator (Mechanically Biased) for a long term project with an Oil & Gas operator

Duration: 12 months rolling contract
Location: UK, Hampshire
Rates: Day rate TBC
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9 day fortnight, every other Friday off

Candidate shall demonstrate a working knowledge of work process procedures for Supplier surveillance inspection. Candidate shall be able to thoroughly review Supplier Inspection and Test Plans.
Candidate shall have minimum four (4) years of hands on inspection experience of rotating machineries such as pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, gears and motors, including attending and assessing ‘Factory Acceptance Test’ (FAT) results and reporting dynamic, vibration and/or high temperature problems.
Candidate shall be qualified and knowledgeable to enforce requirements in all industry codes and standards applicable to the equipment being supplied such as ASME, ANSI, API, AWS, NACE, and IEC/NEC,
This position:
Ensures Supplier work activities are implemented in accordance with approved procedures / processes and that the quality of the work meets contract, technical and quality requirements
Reviews RFQ’s, Supplier bids, and Purchase Contracts under their
jurisdiction. Key focus and accountability shall be Supplier Document and
Data Commitment (SDDC) forms, Quality & Certification Requirements
(Q&CR), AVL, Inspection and Test Planning (ITP), and Manufacturing
Record Book (MRB) requirements
Attends project staff meetings and bid review meetings for major equipment/materials and may perform Supplier evaluations and Supplier quality surveillance at vendor facilities
Attends kick off meetings and leads pre inspection meetings at Supplier
Ensures Supplier’s ITPs meet project requirements; coordinates
Surveillance intervention points with Engineering and owner (Engineering,
Operations & Maintenance, HES)
Issues project specific Shop Inspection Group assignment instructions
and coordinates workloads and activities for Shop Inspection Group under
their jurisdiction; issues reports
Reviews (squad check) of vendor quality documents and verifies
Supplier’s manufacturing record books are being assembled in a timely,
quality fashion, and finalised prior to shipment date
Issues inspection (surveillance) reports, non conformance reports and
inspection (surveillance) release reports to appropriate project personnel
and coordinates the disposition of nonconformities
Interfaces with owner, engineering, project and Supplier personnel to
resolve Supplier quality deficiencies
Provides Supplier performance feedback for Purchase Contracts under their jurisdiction
Reports to SQS Deputy Lead

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate shall have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a total of five (5) years QA/QC experience or a high school diploma with a total of fifteen (10) years shop QA/QC inspection experience.
Candidate shall have a minimum of three (3) years of prior surveillance inspection coordination experience preferably on large oil and gas Projects.
