The Role:
Fircroft are seeking an SQS Lead Coordinator (mechanical) for a long term contract

Location: Based full-time in the UK
.
Must have demonstrated strong previous experience and leadership as a SQS Lead Coordinator for major/ mega oil and gas projects.
Personnel shall have a minimum of five (5) years of prior surveillance inspection coordination experience (piping and mechanical) preferably on major/ mega oil and gas Projects.
Personnel shall demonstrate a working knowledge of work process procedures for Supplier surveillance inspection.
Previous Kazakhstan project experience a plus.
Personnel shall be able to thoroughly develop and review Supplier Inspection & Test Plans.
Experienced in having the lead role in performing supplier capability audits and assessments.
Ensures supplier work activities are implemented in accordance with approved procedures /processes and that the quality of the work meets contract, technical and quality requirements.
Reviews RFQ’s, supplier bids, and Purchase Contracts under their jurisdiction. Key focus and
accountability shall be Supplier Document and Data Commitment (SDDC) forms, Quality & Certification Requirements (Q&CR), AVL, Inspection and Test Planning (ITP), and Manufacturing Record Book (MRB) requirements
Attends project staff meetings and bid review meetings for major equipment/materials
May perform supplier capability audits/ assessments and supplier quality surveillance at vendor facilities.
Attends kick off meetings and leads preinspection meetings at supplier facilities.
Ensures Supplier’s ITPs meet project requirements; coordinates Surveillance intervention points with Engineering and owner (Engineering,
Operations & Maintenance, HES). Issues project specific Shop Inspection Group assignment instructions and coordinates workloads and activities for Shop Inspection Group under their jurisdiction; issues reports.
Reviews (squad check) of vendor quality documents and verifies supplier’s manufacturing record books are being assembled in a timely, quality fashion, and finalised prior to shipment date.
Issues inspection (surveillance) reports, nonconformance reports and inspection (surveillance) release reports to appropriate project personnel and coordinates the disposition of nonconformities.
Interfaces with owner, engineering, project and supplier personnel to resolve supplier quality deficiencies; nonconformances, observations.
Provides supplier performance feedback for Purchase Contracts under their jurisdiction

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Personnel shall have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a total of five (5) years QA/QC experience; or a high school diploma with a total of fifteen (15) years shop QA/QC inspection experience
