The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Job Function:
• Lead efforts to meet required internal/external environmental and regulatory reporting and notifications including development/execution of monitoring/inspection plans, report preparation, vetting reports through Project Management, and preparing report submittal cover letter for appropriate Project management signature.
• Interface with the Company SSH&E functional group as necessary to access available technical expertise/resources in support of project activities, identify/implement best practices, and benefits from lessons learned.
• Contact for environmental and regulatory compliance, environmental business planning, and environmental/regulatory reporting
• Serve as backup to Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development/implementation/sustainment of regulatory compliance procedures and tools
• Work with EPC contractor to develop their Field Construction Management Plan consistent with Project expectations
• Update the Project Environmental Management Plan for Check Point 2
• Determine job responsibility split between Company and EPC contractor/sub-contractor field environmental advisors.
• Lead E&R efforts of field environmental advisors and other field personnel to take appropriate measurments/inspections and prepare field reports
• Develop/implement/sustain reporting of internal and external environmental and regulatory metrics including environmental and regulatory incident reports
• Lead compliance activities between Anchorage and Project Site personnel
• Assist in development and executions of Regulatory Compliance Audits
• Provide technical support for air, spill prevention and reporting, water, waste, wildlife and land use, and other aspects
• Utilize RegFrame and other tools to ensure compliance with permits, reports,other regulatory obligations and projects commitments to Federal, State and North Slope Borough agencies
• Prepare/coordinate/deliver environmental and regulatory training
• Serve as backup for field advisors to escort/organize/summarize agency and other visits or inspections
• Participate in routine calls and meetings
• Comply with Company Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies.
• Travel to North Slope occasionally for agency visits or compliance audits
• Serve as backup to rotational Site E&R advisors for short periods of time as needed

Competency:
• Ability to work in a challenging environment
• Ability to work with multi-discipline team
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental permits and regulatory requirements
• Ability to interact with a variety of external entities (e.g., EPC contractors, subcontractors, government field inspectorsand local communities)
• Familiar with the techniques for implementing and delivering environmental management programs
• Ability to influence both site teams and contractors to improve environmental performance
• Knowledge of internal and external incident reporting processes
• Familiar with Industry environmental practices & standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education Level: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
Degree Major: College level or equivalent (Applied science, equivalent or related industry qualifications).
15+ Years of Oil and Gas Industry
10+ Years of Environmental and regulatory experience with a major oil company
10+ Years of Good working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Preferred Experience in working on cold weather environment
Preferred Oil and Gas project construction experience

• Goal / results oriented, able to manage diverse workload and priority setting
• Set high standards with a focus on quality, details, effectiveness and business results
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Communication / presentation skills from management to worker level
• Computing skills – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
