The Company:
This engineering/consultancy company designs components for both the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas industries. This includes Front End Engineering Design (FEED), full Greenfield design and the life extension of Brownfields. All design processes comprise the necessary concept designs, risk analyses, calculations and identification of environmental factors such as the influence of wind and water on the design.

The Role:
Vacancy Senior Instrument Engineer Checker –Offshore
Do you have an engineering degree in Electrical, Control, Monitoring or Automation and do you believe you are able to lead the conceptual and basic design of off-shore installations ? Do you posses excellent English communication and guiding/tutoring skills? Are you looking to join a Holland based engineering consultancy company with an excellent reputation. In this role you lead the design of electrical and control and monitoring systems for off-shore installations. You are responsible the execution and guiding you team members. On a daily basis you´ll work on:
• Making supporting calculations
• Evaluation of components and/or systems
• Preparation and monitoring of budgets, planning and quality of the project activities
• Developing technical philosophies and basic designs
• Participate in meetings with colleagues from other disciplines
• Regular contact with clients and suppliers after consulting the Project Manager
• Instructing and guiding the assigned designers
• Preparation of technical specs and documentation of systems & equipment, such as power and distribution, control functions, cause & effect matrices, instrument lists, block diagrams etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements
A lead engineer experienced with calculations for electrical and instrumentation & control systems.
• A university degree in Electrical, Control, Monitoring or Automation
• Plus 5 years experience in the offshore
• Familiar with classification society rules and offshore standards
• Good working knowledge with relevant software apps
• Checker skills and relevant experience
• Good command of (technical) English
• Excellent reporting skills
• Good team working and social skills Flexible work attitude / resistant to stress
