The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation/Electrical Planner to work in a refinery in Nanticoke, ON

The Role:
As a Senior Instrumentation & Electrical Planner, the ideal candidate would be responsible for the following job duties:

• Contribute to TA PMT Controlled Work list development for assigned units through Class III, Scope freeze and Class II Milestone.
• Provide detailed estimates supported by input from key execution contractors.
• Obtain budgetary pricing for major materials and check latest market pricing for stock items.
• Support logistics estimating & planning and support cost Engineers as required.
• Incorporate any SMED related scope upgrades.
• Aid in development of preliminary Safe Job Plans and prepare documentation as required.
• Finalize Safe Job Plans.
• Develop and review Electrical High Voltage & Grounding Switching procedures if required.
• Provide estimating and planning support for TAWR’s per the TAWR approval process.
• Explore all possible execution options and prepare contingency plans if required.
• Order all remaining materials through PSD and track status of long delivery items.
• Support optimization of Primavera Plans to assist Cost Engineer in establishing crew size/ramp up/down.
• Engage contractors throughout final planning & in preparation for site pre-TA activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Either Electrical or Instrumentation Journeyman
• Exposure to Maintenance and project work environments
• Planning experiences – Primavera preferred
