The Role:
This is a contract role with our client, Chevron Canada Limited, with headquarters located at 500, Fifth Avenue SW, Calgary, AB, T2P 0L7 in the Chevron Plaza building, has a proud legacy of exploration success for over 75 years. The Senior Project Engineer – Module Fabrication and Marine Facilities, will be responsible for the following:
• As Senior Project Engineer you will supervise the completion of all technical scopes of work, specifications, drawings and data sheets necessary for the EPC bid packages on the Module Fabrication and Marine scope of work..
• Supervises the completions of the commercial elements of the EPC bid packages being prepared by the business management team including : Commercial T & C, bid forms, commercial input to the EPC Bid Evaluation Plan
• Support an IIF and process safety management culture on the Camp, Infrastructure Tanks and marine team.
• Deliver Execution planning & schedule of functional Marine infrastructures MOF, TCJ, LNG Loading Jetty.
• Support Alternative analysis Studies and Support Concept selection, prescreening.
• Develop detailed work face planning site pull logistics, ROS data.
• Support to Industrial area rehabilitation plan.
• Support commercial and permitting team activities with execution requirements.
• Support LNG Tank Planning and Contract execution.
• Seek out and apply best practices from the other projects. Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from project planning and execution.
• Overseas VIP workshops, including Value Engineering, process simplification, process Optimisation and design to capacity.
• Leads a variety of conceptual engineering project Management activities relating to the development of the resources, such as cost control, scheduling, project assurance activities and interfacing.
• Develop collaborative and efficient working relationship with JFJV Marine group counter-parts.
• Leads the management of the selected conceptual engineering contractor ensuring deliverables are produced on schedule and to the content and quality expected.
• Leads Technical activities of the conceptual engineering contractor in multiple disciplines.
• Integrates inherent safety in design and operability in concept selection and development for gas resource opportunities.

Language Skills
The Senior Project Engineer – Must have the ability to read, write and understand the English language in a highly competent manner. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills are mandatory.

Other Considerations
The Senior Project Engineer – Module- Must be able to work in office and Module Fabrication and site environments and interact with team members and contractors throughout the day while contributing to a positive “One Team” work environment.

JOB OFFER
This is a full time contract position for one year with the possibility of a contract extension. A daily rate of $1,550 - $1,850 per day will be extended to the selected candidate. The candidate may also be eligible for pay increases.

Please note this position will be based out of the Fluor Office in Calgary, 55 Sunpark Plaza SE, T2X 3R4, on an “ad-hoc” basis as and when requested by Company Manager.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a full-time contract position until February 28, 2016.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience
A minimum of 20 years + of project construction, commissioning experience, knowledge of cryogenic natural gas liquefaction process technologies is required.

Education
HNC Engineering as a minimum.
