The Role:
Provide professional consultation and expertise in training program evaluation and development. Oversee the unit QA of the OJT program monitoring apprentices’ key performance indicators and major projects to develop, implement and evaluate training programs. Conduct Job Task Standard (JTS) evaluations as part of On-Job training and Job certification requirements.

• Provide consultation and high-level professional expertise to HCD on proposed programs, policy changes, and evaluation of current activities.
• Serve as team leader and directs the development and execution of major Program Development & Evaluation.
• Provide advice and consultation to subordinate professionals in the Division as required.
• Research, analyse and write major studies, reports and proposals and assists with curricula relating to future training development and evaluation programs.
• Keep current with and assures that staff is made aware of new developments in training trends.
• Ensure that adequate records are maintained of all work performed by the unit, including: customer requirements; customer complaints; and Preventative and corrective actions.
• Ensure that all business processes are adequately documented; fully understood by all employees in the unit; fully complied with by all employees; and, maintained on a regular basis.

• Plan and manage the work of the unit, based on priorities established through consultation with the QA Superintendent and Program Development, Customers and other Stakeholders.
• Perform as subject matter expert for curriculum writers as part of a team member in the development, implementation and evaluation of curricula.
• Develop and present Job certifications and competency test administration status as required.
• Instruct trainees to terminal objectives of POI's in complex plant systems, operations and controls.
• Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Technical qualifications or diploma
• Extensive job related experience
• Experienced in a senior trainer/supervisor role, plus auditing experience.
