The Role:
Job Description:
1) To provide technical & operational support, advice and consultancy on the unit performance review and audit, plant monitoring and operation trouble shooting, establish a Critical Operating
Parameter (COP) & Safe Operating Limit (SOL), energy saving initiative and make recommendation for improvement on the base, key and pacing technologies applied to the Hydrocracker,
Hydrogen and Coker unit.
2) Should be able to perform;
o Plant performance, improvement & optimization – should be able to anticipate and take remedial actions for optimum operation of the unit i.e. feed stock effect
o Catalyst life analysis and reactor performance – has exposed to catalyst system selection and loading (with min 2 catalyst life cycle), and able to perform catalyst life projection, performance
analysis and evaluation
o Trouble-shooting (identify the problem & solve), shut-down and start-up, TA support etc - able to understand and specify the constraints to upstream and downstream unit/system
o Process modifications i.e. process studies & design,
3) Good understanding on the hydrogen system including hydrogen unit performance improvement
4) Experience in simulation model and familiar with Petro-sim, HYSYS program etc

Specific Equipment need to handle:
• Multi-bed & layer reactor catalyst system
• Multi-stages high pressure pump & compressor
• Product distillation/fractionation column
• High & low pressure separator and amine absorber system
• Steam turbine
• Heat transfer equipment (heat exchanger & furnace)
• Hydrogen reformer (tubular reactor)
• Pressure Swing Absorber (PSA)
• Coke drum

Preferences:
• Familiar with Chevron design Hydrocracker unit
• Fluent in English and able to deliver training and guidance to technician and engineer (capability development)
• Skill in computer software i.e. Microsoft office & project etc.
• Experienced in energy saving initiative
• Age below 40 years

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Experienced in process design work of Hydrocracker unit (Chevron design) i.e. FEED, BED, DED, construction and commissioning
• 10 year (min) operating experience of Hydrocracker (as technical services engineer and with min 3 year as operation engineer or equivalent).
