The Role:
Staff Wells Supervisor (CWI) – CWIS

A multi- disciplined specialist in Completion & Well Intervention, leading teams in the delivery and maintenance of on-site activities. You will be expected to deliver maximum value and quality of service to the assigned asset, whilst maintaining European standard HS&E procedures.

Principal Accountabilities
In delivering Completion & Well Intervention activities, the incumbent shall:
• Provide and promote stringent, transparent, HSE supervision and implementation. This will encompass all on-site preparation, and execution of Completion and Well Intervention activities.
• On-site Supervision and management of contractors/ sub-contractors, ensuring all procedures are carried out within European HS&E standards.
• Vigilance and preparation, ensuring all work programmes are executed proficiently, and that all risks and developments are thoroughly investigated and accounted for.
• Safeguard that HSE is of the highest priority, during initial preparations through to completion of all projects / wells life cycle. This includes all safety management tools, ensuring they are fully utilised to the absolute Minimum risk. (e.g., Risk assessments, manual handling assessments, TRIC, toolbox talks, STOP, AFS, AAR’S, etc.)
• Prepare, delegate, observe and report, recording all statistics for review and assessment.

Planning and Organisation
• Apply controls and procedures to maintain the technical integrity of delegated European assets, in conjunction with all Completion and Well intervention on site procedures.
• Implement “limit” tools and techniques across all Completion and Well Intervention projects.
• Ensure Completion & Well Intervention work programmes are fully fit for purpose and are fully understood by all personnel by attending (either in the office or on site) SWOP’s, pre-phase meetings, workshops etc.
• Administrate and provide guidance in all onshore/ offshore trials and equipment stack up tests as required.
• Proficiently supervise and call on adequate Completion & Well Intervention resources to maximise production, minimise expenditure, and facilitate timely cost effective execution, of all Completion and Well Intervention activities.
• Manage with diligence and humility providing a strong, safe happy environment
• Maintain exact storage of information and data, in relation to all wells data, in line with European safety standards.
• Provide routine and emergency technical input and support for all well related activities, both onshore and offshore as required.
• Management of the site and effective control of all completions and well intervention work
• Guarantee proficient alternation, to change control procedures in the event of programme amendments.
• Report and Liaise on a daily basis to head office, providing accurate Completion and Well intervention activities.
• Preserve Well Integrity by the execution of routine, safety critical maintenance.
• Implementation of accurate cost monitoring on all offshore Completion & Well Intervention activities.
• Participate and Liaise with all area’s and departments to provide effective and progressive execution of Completion & Well Intervention work programmes.
• Ensure safe and efficient backload of equipment, and personnel on completion of operations
• Ensure all lessons learned are captured and shared, from execution of Completion & Well Intervention activities, in line with UIO Delivery Process.

Key Challenges
Without compromise to corporate health, safety and environmental standards and in accordance with Statutes, Regulations and Company Policies, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for:
• Implementation of the UIO Wells Department's: Policy, Organisation, Technical Standards, Management Controls, Control Procedures, and Working Practices in the execution of Completion and Well Intervention activities.
• Implement controls and processes to safeguard the technical integrity of UIO assets, in respect of the planning, preparation and execution of Completion and Well Intervention activities.
• The safe execution of agreed Completion and Well Intervention programmed activities on time and within budget to deliver maximum value across UIO assets.
• Participate in and share best practices by attending and participating in lateral learning sessions and utilising lateral learning tools.
• Communication with onshore Completion & Well Intervention support and duty teams during execution activities, ensuring prompt response to operational problems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a minimum the incumbent will:

• Have an Ordinary College Certificate, (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or a similar technical or scientific discipline.
• Completion & Well Intervention experience, preferably in an operational capacity.
• Should be in possession of a current IWCF Well Control certificate for well Intervention.
• Be responsible for own development and will execute a personal development plan agreed with the Senior Wells Supervisor (CWI).
• Maintain the minimum safety certification needed to execute the job. (Survival, medical, Permits, well control etc.)
