The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Stamping Process, Feasibility & FEA Engineer Undertake the majority of described elements with a high level of autonomy and be able to guide/manage others: - Take responsibility for a module/s of several stamped parts - Perform simulations of stamping processes and produce comprehensive formability information - Optimize draw die developments to maximise efficiency and robustness - Provide feedback to Engineering that aids manufacturability of the Product - Aid resolution of feasibility issues and provide feedback to the customer - Validate simulations as part of continuous improvement - Develop Engineering using experience of pressing feasibility issues with appropriate use of relevant history, both own & competitor vehicles, standards & FEA - Define stamping manufacture processes taking into account the most appropriate / available facilities, piece cost & tool cost implications. - Conduct process handovers to suppliers & buy-off productionised process & FEA - Provide technical support for toolmakers on resolution of process & FEA

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven Press Tool manufacture or tryout experience. Experience of the AutoForm FEA toolset (or similar) Working knowledge of TCe and Catia v5 including surfacing. Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A self-motivated and confident team player. Able to generate effective solutions to technical challenges Able to understand the needs, desires and aspirations of competing customers Demonstrate the mind set that will deliver superior FEA results A sound engineering and manufacturing background
