The Role:
Provide technical and professional engineering assistance and guidance in the standards and application of materials, spare parts, and equipment supporting SADARA facilities and operations. Perform technical analysis and recommend policies, procedures, and practices for standardizing and cataloging of materials and spare parts.

• Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize material reliability or minimize costs.
• Review on a regular basis the company engineering standards, codes of practices and material specifications.
• Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors relating process or established standards.
• Provide recommendations for revisions and reorganization activities of Material Classes and Subclasses and modifications of standard formats for article description.
• Responsible for the review and evaluation of new articles and change article requests, ensuring compatibility with the standardization procedures and policies. Initiate correction action where required.
• Responsible for consulting with the representatives from manufacturers and vendors on the issues with possible material substitutions, design changes and other related matters.
• Keep abreast of significant developments in the field of expertise by reviewing technical literature, networking with suppliers and manufacturers and attendance to professional and industry society meetings.
• Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any related Engineering field.
• Certification in Computer Aided Design.
• Familiar with International Engineering Standards is required
