The Role:
Lead the procurement, build, commissioning, test execution, data capture, analysis and storage for start-stop durability rigs
Work closely with PT calibrators to plan, procure and modify (where necessary) an appropriate level of engine calibration to support the validation tests
Develop and implement rapid prototype SW solutions (ATI, nohooks etc.) as necessary to facilitate the test interface/functionality
Lead and coordinate resolution of quality issues during development or via AIM process
Support system level validation testing work streams in line with Corporate Engineering Test Procedures (CETPs) and author /input to such documents.
Lead and coordinate technical analysis of data from powertrain rig through ATI, Puma and associated logging/recording systems
Apply meticulous records management for test methodologies and results in terms of test history and sign-off reports (pre and post-test)
Support program gateway delivery and program team meetings in line with GPDS
Support T&D scheduling meetings for allocation of vehicle/rig test time
Develop and maintain work plans aligned to overall project timing
Review and maintain cookbook for prototype rig and dress kit requests

Tools used:
• Day to day reporting, investigation etc. - MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
• Data analysis - ATI Vision, Matlab and Picoscope
• Rapid Prototyping - Accurev
• Rig Design/Build/Prove out - Teamcenter, Visview and WERS
• Part Procurement - RPS

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Powertrain calibration experience
Experience of automotive control systems
Experience of vehicle program delivery under GPDS
Strong interpersonal skills including communication and presentation skills.
Willingness to learn and gain experience.
Self-starter with ability to develop structured work plans.
Experience with PC applications
BSc or MSc (preferred) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
FTEP trained or qualified
UK driving licence (preferably clean)
