The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
•Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of full chain of production from well to LNG off take and apply this knowledge in identifying key technical risk areas relevant to start up. Lead development of management, mitigation and contingency planning
•Develop and lead others in development of substantive, high quality start up planning and procedural documentation
•Coordinate with all parties relevant to start up planning and execution including design commissioning, operations management, HSE management, Quality etc
•Agree RFSU acceptance criteria. Verify RFSU status of plant and approve recommendations for start up to Operations Director
•Identify methods to minimize lost time during start up. Identify key lessons learned and work with design, construction and commissioning teams to implement schedule adherence and improvement initiatives
•Develop team structure for Start up execution. Identify key resources and timing requirements from engineering and operations as well as vendors and contractors teams to participate in start up activities and work with the organisation to ensure availability
•Recruit or second in resources for Start up team. Ensure competence and experience requirements are identified and can be demonstrated for tasks allocated
•Maximise transfer of knowledge from start up to operations team through onsite mentoring / information exchange, use of operations personnel in team, validation of start up routines for future use, capturing lessons learned.
•Arrange and secure technical resources (in-house, designers, suppliers) to be able to respond to issues arising during start up.
•Ensure tight liaison between Start up team and other teams, particularly the main operations teams.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering degree in relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Process/Instrumentation) or substantial experience at senior technical/operations level
•Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including experience at management level of offshore facilities or LNG plants (preferably both) and good understanding of startup relevant issues across full spectrum from Well to Tanker offload)
•Direct management experience in planning and successfully executing start up operations of major plants
