The Role:
To provide Process Engineering support to Start Up Engineering team through all phases of Field Development. Operations support and expertise will include technical input into EP, T3 and FFD Project activities. Provide technical guidance on optimizing processing schemes of onshore and offshore facilities to achieve reliable and cost effective operation. To minimise safety, health and environmental risks.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
• Develop, control, maintain and apply process engineering technical expertise related to development of schemes, design selection, specification and operation of treatment facilities
• Providing specialist input into feasibility studies, options identification, evaluation and selection, field development plan and basis for design
• Responsible for process flow assurance issues, provide technical advice on process optimisation, control, operating procedures and troubleshooting
• Responsible for process engineering deliverables (as assigned) within the OR&A Plan
• Utilize modelling software (HYSYS, etc.) as a primary means of process evaluation and prediction
• Provide input towards the development and utilization of training and process dynamic simulators
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, EIA, O&M, RAM and QRA reviews to ensure effective Production Engineering input
• Ensure the process related evaluations for the facilities are handled in consistent standards such that the technical integrity is safeguarded
• Support the Chemical Management Group in chemical requirements – volumes, applications, performance and formulations
• Manages the activities of assigned staff, provide functional guidance to the Process Engineering Team.
• Provide advice and recommendations on technology requirements for Process Engineering. Remain current with emerging technology. Identifies and pursues new technology
• Develop and mentor junior staff, particularly Kazakh staff

HSE Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a commitment to HSE through the personal application of safety critical behaviours:
• Compliance with Republic of Kazakhstan Statutory HSE Regulations, Codes and Standards;
• Applying Company’s HSE & SD Policies & Management System;
• Supporting/ Participating in Emergency Drills and Exercises as required;
• Reporting all Accidents/ Incidents and Unsafe Acts/ Conditions in a timely manner.

Main Interfaces:
The job holder will interface effectively with Direct Reports, HSE, Facility Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Management, Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, and Corporate Technical Authorities.
The job holder will liaise with related partner representatives, contractors, vendors, RoK authorities through the appropriate Company departments, and specialised companies and technical institutes on studies, standards and contractual issues.

Working Conditions:
Office based in Atyrau area. Will be expected to travel up to 20% of the time including visits to the onshore field and offshore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must have:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Fluent written and spoken English, including a good understanding of technical English
• Minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas industry to have included:
o Proven technical expertise in the Process Engineering field allowing the individual to make a detailed technical assessment of designs from conception to commissioning phase
o Capacity to run industry standard process simulation tools autonomously in order to provide necessary evidence when doing process assessments.
o Experience in managing and resolving the problems and issues faced in plant operations from a process perspective
o Particularly participation in design and feasibility studies
o Experience of contributing to feasibility studies, identifying the various options, evaluating and recommending engineering solutions in the Process field, full understanding of the basis for the design of Process area.
o Experience of reviewing and auditin
