The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
To support the development and operation of these substantial assets, we are seeking talented staff to join our clients Operations team.

As Start-Up Team Leader you will be involved in developing and establishing systems, processes and procedures required for implementation of Start Up activities in accordance with Start-Up execution plan. Your role will also include managing the execution of facility Start-Up.

Key responsibilities include:
• Promoting a positive safety culture by active participation in the implementation and validation of work and safety procedures for Start-Up
• Ensuring all operations activities and priorities are consistent with operation of the entire Ichthys Operation (including Upstream and Downstream assets) during start-up period
• Liaise with commissioning and operation representatives to ensure on time and effective Start-Up of offshore facilities
• Develop and review procedures and resource allocation plans to optimize the time to react to process system upsets and recover from trip conditions
• Providing process technical support and assistance to the Production Team
• Maintaining sound working understanding of plant process, layout, equipment configurations and maintenance management system
• Execution of activities utilising the Permit To Work system to ensure all safeguards are in place and all external risks have been considered prior to authorisation of activities to commence
• Ensure the process system is operated within Technical Integrity limits and operating envelopes
• Maintain Operating Manuals to ensure accurate safe working procedures are available and utilised
• Ensuring that plant and equipment is efficiently prepared for commissioning / maintenance execution activities, in full compliance with the isolation standard, to minimize downtime
• Ensure process and equipment status is accurately communicated during shift handovers
• As part of the Facility Management Team, work with the Offshore Installation Manager and Start-Up Superintendent to execute strategies for the continuous improvement during the Start-Up period.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Diploma of Frontline Management or equivalent, as well as Certificate IV in Process Plant Operations (PMA 08 or equivalent)
• Strong experience in the Offshore Oil&Gas Industry with exposure at Team Leader level. It would be desirable to have Subsea, FPSO or Floating Semi-submersible Production Facilities Operations experience.
• Working at a Senior Operations level with Project Teams and Contractor Design Staff on major Offshore Oil & Gas Developments
• Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork.

Prior to startup you will use your experience to provide technical and operational input during Construction and Commissioning. In addition, you will be part of the development of key operations systems and processes. This may require you to be deployed to international design offices and construction yards or to assist operational readiness activities within the Perth office. When the Project becomes operational, attractive rosters will be available.
