The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
A Start-Up Technical Advisor is required to assist and support Start-up Lead with all start-up activities to meet project deadlines and all project safety, MC, System Completion and handover targets. You will provide interaction and execution support of a matrix organisation that ranges over a variety of discipline skill sets.

Assisting with execution of the Project Systems Completion Plan the role requires operations inputs on system boundaries, sequence and priorities, and impact to commissioning, start-up and ongoing operations where applicable. You will provide assistance in the planning for commissioning and start-up and the development of the start-up strategies, execution plans and procedures that are aligned with the commissioning strategies
Capable of identifying key commissioning / start-up execution risk issues and develop and assess mitigation steps, the role will support the execution of Contractor’s Commissioning Permit to Work and SIMOPS procedures to ensure efficient and safe execution of the work in addition to support for reviewing and endorsing contractor’s activities in Company turn-over areas.

Participating in system walkdowns and punch-list generation when available to do so in addition to participating risk assessments, HAZOP’s and other project reviews as they pertain to commissioning, hand-over and start-up of process systems, you will also provide guidance, supervision and mentorship of PNG Nationals under development for commissioning phase and ongoing operations.

This is a residential assignment based in Papua New Guinea.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal peron will have operations experience in LNG Liquefaction Plant Processes, including knowledge of Cryogenic Process, LNG Storage and Loading, Utility Systems, Power Generation, Instrumentation and Controls Systems. With a proven background in the oil and gas industry with demonstrated experience in start-up and/or commissioning, you will ideally have LNG process control panel operator experience.

Possessing strong interpersonal skills to give and receive information to/from multicultural personnel, you will have a good command of the English language.
