The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and Gas Operator and has operations through-out the world.

The Role:
Provide Mechanical engineering discipline support expertise for the asset, driving defect elimination through continuous improvement and production optimisation. Support the maintenance team in regards to all breakdown maintenance.

• Undertake auditing of asset in line with personal objectives
• Support delivery of safety, integrity and environmental performance of asset.
• Responsible for compliance with asset discipline Performance Standards and completion of Formal Technical Assessments for Mechanical discipline
• Responsible for technical approval of operational procedures, deferrals and ORA’s within discipline as appropriate.
• Responsible for monitoring technical implication of maintenance backlog and ensure Controlled Documentation is up to date.
• Owner of specific risks in the Integrated Operations Risk Matrix and assure compliance with good technical practice through site visits and audits.
• Support site audits and HSE Inspections as asset point of contact.
• Support compliance for process safety documentation.
• Provide input into routine integrity management reviews
• Support production delivery and optimisation activities.
• Investigate and solve day-to-day and medium term plant problems in support of operations team, providing day-to-day discipline technical support to the operation.
• Contribute to the production improvement plan by identifying production improvement opportunities.
• Support and uphold the asset planning process.
• Liaise with functional teams as they execute discipline activities in accordance with the assets requirements.
• Responsible for within scope technical approval of material & service requisitions (within discipline) in Maximo.
• Provide technical support to turnaround scope definition and execution.
• SPA for agreed minor engineering changes / modifications.
• Support the Maintenance Team Leader in all regards to equipment breakdown and implementation of planned maintenance routines.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HND/HNC or Degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• Extensive technical knowledge of process facilities equipment to enable informed decisions.
• Ability to recognise risks, hazards, losses and prevent conflicts between activities whilst driving continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Well developed interpersonal skills, self motivated and able to lead others.
• Ability to work with others using a variety of conflict management skills and arrive at the best overall outcome from a business and HSE perspective.
