The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas industry

The Role:
Purpose: manage Mellitah Gas Compression station, supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in operation and maintenance of MGCS

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Directing workers to start or stop compressors to increase or decrease gas pressure in the pipeline in compliance with the Control System of the Station
• Coordinates activities and may operate equipment during emergencies
• Maintain the company assets operations and efficiency, supervise workers engaged in operation and maintenance and ensure that lessons learnt from operations are incorporated and applied.
• Liaise with Sicily Receiving Terminal manager to coordinate daily operations and weekly and monthly transportation planning
• Liaise with Shipper'srepresentative to coordinate daily transportation and weekly and monthly transportation planning
• Supporting the Operations Manager in the operation and maintenance activities of Mellitah Gas Compression Station, ensuring that established policies and procedures are executed within guidelines and on the basis of the instruction received by the Operations Manager.
• The Station Operations Manager assists the Operations Manager in managing the Operation and Maintenance Contracts and the technical and commercial aspects of Gas Quality and Conditions at the Delivery Point in Libya
• In respect of the instruction received by the Operations Manager, the Station Operations Manager schedules all the activities necessary to verify that all the dispatching activities are carried out, and to guarantee gas transportation to ensure that the gas transportation is performed according to the established safety rules and continuity in respect of time and as established in the contract
• Other tasks contributing to the control and execution of the Maintenance Plan, Supervise measurement activities and contribute in ensuring the implementation of Emergency Plan and HSE-IMS
• Duties and responsibilities ofStation Operations Manager may be appointed to Dispatcher and Deputy Station Operations Manager.

Staff Responsibilities:
Motivating, developing and supervising the work of the staff reporting to him/her.

Safety Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following:
• Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations
• Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and applying Safety Management Systems.
• Champion proactive HSE management within the team
Main Interfaces:
• Management, OM, Dispatcher & Deputy SOM, Control Room Operation Supervisor, Sicily Receiving Terminal and other units/department of the Company.
• Liaison requirements with other companies (MOG), contractors, suppliers (e.g. O&M Contractor, upstream operator, shipper, units/department in Sicily Receiving Terminal).

Working Conditions: Based in Mellitah on rotation 28/28 days shift

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrable years of experience within gas & oil transport system operation
• Considerable years of experience in an equivalent position Station Operations Manager in a Compressor Station
• Relevant engineering degree

The job holder must have proven:
• Excellent communication skills:
o Fluent written and spoken English
o Able to interface with people at all levels and from varied cultural backgrounds
o Able to write well structured, concise and well reasoned reports and documents

• Ability to motivate and supervise staff from various specialist areas.
