The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
As part of the SWAS and Solutions Integration Team, the SWAS Design Engineer will be responsible for developing, delivering and supporting SWAS standard modular and bespoke engineering solutions as specified by the customer.
Accountable for the engineering design and delivery of bespoke and modular SWAS systems that meet company compliance and approvals.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining minimum quality and build standards within the companies global System Integrator partner network.
Responsible for commercial and risk management of all SWAS engineering design solutions.
Responsible for evaluating and improving where possible bespoke engineered solutions and customer specified designs to drive out costs and improve system performance.
Work with the SWAS team to develop and maintain all supporting SWAS sales, technical and compliance documentation.
Support the cross functional team responsible for securing global supply frameworks for non company SWAS components.
Assist SWAS team members in responding to SWAS RFQ's against agreed deadlines.

Liaise with the SWAS team to develop and maintain first in class client approved solution and package drawings and specifications.
· Design optimised SWAS engineering solutions from customer specifications from p& id', wiring schematics and GA drawings with reference to country standards, legislation and appreciation of customers working practises.
· Work with and upskill Local Sales in order to identify valid SWAS opportunities early.
· Work within a cross functional team environment to produce valued customer SWAS solutions and services.
· Develop the credibility and reputation of the SWAS centre of excellence with internal and external customers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant chemical/electrical/instrumentation engineering degree level qualifications or experience.
Robust engineering experience in designing SWAS systems or transferable Analytical or Instrumentation business operating in the process industries.
Experienced and comfortable trainer and presenter.
Able and willing to travel abroad
A strong team player who actively seeks to impart knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills, in highly customer facing environments.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Able to prioritise work & meet deadlines.
Conversant in using MS Office
