The Company:
To lead and manage the development of rolling 5 year plan, annual corporate plans and other ad-hoc studies and initiatives. These various plans represent annual sales of approximately 40 Billion USD and 60 Million annual operating expenses. Within the generic job family of the “Planner,” a Senior Planner will have relatively more experience and is expected to work at a higher level with less direction.

The Role:
Market Research
- Develop and maintain a broad and current understanding of the international market in order to ensure that Tasweeq remains competitive in its markets.
- Collect, analyse, and integrate key market information for use in the development of the 5-Year Plan and Annual Corporate Plan.
Market Supply Demand
- Develop long term macro-economic and energy market supply demand outlooks.
Sales Coverage and Asset Strategy
- Develop recommended marketing, delivered sales coverage and asset strategies; for validation with Marketing, Shipping and Tasweeq leadership.
Budgets and Business Plans
- Lead and manage the preparation of the 5-Year Plan and annual corporate business plan and operating and capital expenditure budgets, ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all activities. Monitor expenditure against approved levels on a regular basis and investigate and explain significant variances.
- Implement, and develop plans and strategy for the achievement of the corporate annual revenue, opex and capex targets.
- Ensure that all plans and budgets are internally consistent and are compatible with the strategies identified in the 5-Year Plan and annual corporate plan.
Cross Department Coordination
- Coordinate with the CEO, Executive Directors from all departments, and Marketing Directors to ensure the development of the sound marketing and financial plans, and delivered sales coverage plans
5-Year Plan and Annual Corporate Plan
- Prepare, review and consolidate the 5-Year Plan and annual corporate plan for management presentation and approval.

Financial Authority and Controls

- Endorsement and approval authorities subject to Table of General Authorities (TOGA) as amended and approved from time to time by the Board of Directors / General Assembly.

Safety and Controls Integrity

- Actively maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor record and continually improve personal safety performance.
- Ensure that analysis undertaken to support decisions, contracts and agreements are executed in accordance with company policies and the Table of General Authorities.

Special Considerations

- The revenues from petroleum exports represent a significant contribution to the gross revenues of the state. The capture of maximum value from the exports of the national resource is a matter of national importance.
- The Planner provides sound plans and analysis to drive marketing excellence and to support many key strategic decisions taken by the company. The impact of such decisions on the gross revenue of the company can be significant.

Reports to: Planning and Performance Director

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business, finance or related.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal functional supervision.
- Leadership skills demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments.
- Experience in developing and making senior management presentations.
- Fundamental understanding of and experience in working with economic analysis.
- Good working Knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP.
- Minimum 7 years experience (or equivalent) in the petroleum industry with minimum 5 years experience or equivalent in the following areas:
- Petroleum commodity marketing / commercial operations/Planning / Analysis.
