The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Structural/Coating Verification Inspector for a MODU Upgrade Project in Seattle, Washington.

The Role:
• Perform high level inspection and verification of structural welding and fabrication in accordance with the Contractor’s specifications and drawings
• Perform high level verification and monitoring the adherence to Contractor’s accepted material tracking, Welding and NDE procedures
• Verification and monitoring of the adherence to Contractor accepted material tracking, welding and NDE procedures
• High level review of structural NDE results
• Verification of coatings application in accordance with specifications, surface preparation and coating application in accordance with Contractor’s and manufacturer’s specifications
• Testing and Approval of fabricators paint applicators in accordance with Contractor’s and NACE practices
• For all of the above identification of serious errors and/or omissions in Contractor’s work
• Knowledge of Contractor’ QA/QC manual
• Oversee the Structural phase of the project schedule and monitor planned activities to ensure a timely completion

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years experience in construction specifically in the areas of Structural Fitting, Welding, Welder Qualification and Welding Procedures, of which 5 years shall be as an inspector or Foreman overseeing construction crews.
• High regards for HSE and familiar with industry safe work practices/procedures
• Be familiar with national codes, standards and common procedures related construction activities and specific to the project
• Be able to read, interpret and understand Structural drawings
• Familiar with NDE techniques and testing methods in RT, MT, PT & UT and be able to interpret results of each test.
• English as primary language
• Strong Documentation skills
• Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Competent People and Communications skills – Able to interact with a diverse team
• Familiar with crew make-up and job/task progressing and scheduling
