The Role:
They will be responsible for the day to day production of structural designs, analyses and calculations for a range of applications and industries. Typical projects could include, support structures and access platforms for civil nuclear plant, deck mounted structures for the oil and gas industry, mechanical frames for naval nuclear industry. Also ensuring that engineers are guided and understand the expectations placed upon them. They also are required to ensure that the team’s projects proceed in line with quotation and customer requirements.


•Creation and checking of technical deliverables, including designs, analyses and calculations
•Provide technical guidance to more junior engineers
•Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
•Checking and approval of technical deliverables (where appropriate)
•Support the Group Technical Lead in ensuring technical processes are adhered to

Commercial / Project

•Comply with the requirements of the quality system
•Deliver engineering activities in line with hours identified in task initiation forms
•Support the generation of quotations by providing and checking hours for engineering activities.
•Produce quotations in line with appropriate processes
•Ensure all customer, commercial and quality processes are adhered to, with support from the Project Assistant


•Support the Group Leader to ensure sales pipeline is accurate and current
•Attend pipeline review and support with closing out actions
•Ensure pipeline and projects details are up to date
•Attend the Team Leader meeting, to ensure day based resource plan is updated weekly and is accurate 4 weeks in advance
•Day to day supervision and development of engineers within the team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experience of design and substantiation of structures.
•Project management of projects.
•Some team management would be advantageous
