The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Responsible for :
• Understanding the functionality requirements of all of our client's departments in the design of their project which includes:
o Subsea Design Group
o Operations
o Maintenance
o Production Engineering
o Drilling
• Ensuring the Platform design and work methodology complies with the requirements of the other Project groups including:
o Fabrication & Construction
o Installation & Hook-up
o Procurement & Contracts
o HSEQ
o Project Management & Controls
• Input to the determination and production of Project Philosophies which will set the limits, guidelines and direction for the design of the Cygnus Platform systems & plant to the requirements of the above stated departments/groups.
• Review of all key documents produced by the Design Contractor and the timely return of our client's formal comments for incorporation into the final version.
• Monitoring of all AFC documents to ensure compliance with regulations, Project philosophies and industry standards.
• Circulation of key documents to impact our client & other Compliance Team engineers and the compilation of requirements into a single set of comments.
• Ensuring that our client receives maximum functionality, safety, economy and schedule compliance from its Contractors & Suppliers and to bring to Project Management attention any improvement possible from industry innovation.
• Active participation in Project review initiatives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of Chartered Engineer status with a major Engineering Institution
• Qualification to minimum of Degree level or HND with additional experience.
• 15 years post-graduation experience within the petrochemical industry.
• 10 years post-graduation experience within the offshore oil & gas industry.
• 5 years experience as a Lead Engineer with a major design contracting organisation.
