The Company:
a major oil and gas operator

The Role:
• Reviews detailed layout and design of projects for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and feasibility to governing codes and CVX requirements.
Establishes technical guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new manners
• Ensure that the Civil/Structural design is safe, operable, maintainable, cost-effective, constructible, robust and meets the project design basis.
• Ensure the design and implementation accommodates modularization requirements and is in-line with Project standards for configuration, operation and maintainability.
• Coordinate SME input when required.
• Ensure key deliverables reviews, comments and approvals are submitted timely in order to avoid engineering schedule delays.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS preferred or equivalent experience
• 10+ years experience with site preparation & layouts, Foundations, Piling, Pipe racks, Fire proofing, u/g facilities, drainage system, Storage Tanks, etc.)
• Experienced with critical analysis of basic and detailed engineering design, including equipment foundations, piling, structural steel, equipment layout, operability and constructability review
• Experience with FPSO preferred
• Experience with Deepwater Major Capital Projects
• PE preferred
