As one of the worlds leading engineering companies, Our Client assists in their customer's use of electrical power and aims to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way.

The Role:
My Client has a current requisition out for a Civil / Structural Engineer for a 6 month+ rolling contract. The role will be primarily based in Moorebank, NSW.

Job Description

Technical Project Execution
• Ensure E-House structural engineering designs are provided to required specifications, standards and client.
• Project Contract requirements on allocated projects.
• Support Building Code and compliance certification for allocated projects.
• Prepare or review optimized room layouts considering safety, standards, specifications, equipment and operational clearances and code/regulatory requirements.
• Lead the execution of allocated project activities to achieve agreed targets for schedule, quality, financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare, review or detail required Engineering Documents for E-House projects where allocated.
• Prepare Engineering and Resource plans for project activities as required.

Technical Sales Execution
• Provide Sales and tendering teams with structural specification and design reviews, clarifications and deviations lists where required.
• Provide specification and design requirements and guidance to sub vendors for quotations.
• Lead Technical meetings and presentations during the Sales and Tendering process on structural design and engineering tasks with clients, sub vendors and internal teams when required.

• Deliver high quality engineering and technical services and outputs for products via personal execution, utilising local and global team members, operations departments, vendors and clients.
• Ensures capture and monitoring of quality metrics where required (OPQ, CCRP, SMT Cost Take Out),
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and lessons learnt activities in execution.

Supplier and Vendor Management
• Lead local and global E-House and Room supplier assessments for design, manufacture and transport functions where allocated.
• Complete Supplier assessment reports in accordance with standards

Customer Service & Care
• Ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered to all customers.
• Ensure that customers’ needs are understood, products are designed accordingly, at realistic cost.

• Work closely with the greater Project Management, Engineering, Tendering and Sales teams within the LPG to succeed in the market place.
• Work with Global Product Group and other business units to share and develop joint skills and capability’s.

Integrity & Safety
• Lead, Drive and maintain personal accountability for the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management to ensure Zero Harm is achieved.
• Responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions managed and completed. Assist in building an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture personally and with colleagues, including hazard, near miss, and SOT completion.
• Ensure zero integrity issues and comply with all company Integrity policies and requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualifications in Engineering – Structural / Civil
• 3 years of experience in structural engineering or buildings industry
• Knowledge of the electrical engineering and power substations industry.
• Capable in AutoCAD or equivalent and MS Visio.
• Competent in using SAP (preferable), MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
• Current Driver’s License.
• Current Passport or no restrictions in obtaining a Passport.
