The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
This role will initially be based in London with the successful candidate mobilising to Korea in Q3 of 2012.

Assist the Topsides Delivery Team in the management of the structural and facilities scope for the construction phase of the project topsides from input into design through to mechanical completion.

Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
• Provide constructability input into design
• Manage the interface with our client's Korean fabrication contractor (KFC) in the design office with the design contractors.
• Provide construction expertise to the KFC to ensure realistic, comprehensive and constructible fabrication methodology and schedule.
• Monitor and review engineering contractor deliverables for quality and content.
• Manage the interface with the KFC structural construction team on site.
• Provide status updates into the reporting system.
• Review the KFC engineering deliverables, shop drawings, procedures etc. for quality and content.
• Review the KFC's steel procurement processes and deliverables
• Review the KFC's engineering queries, interfacing with engineering as required.
• Manage the interface between the KFC and our client's own quality control.
• Ensure the KFC meet all the certification requirements and associated documentation.
• Ensuring the intent of project specifications are understood.
• Review of lifting and movement procedures. Cursory inspection of lifting equipment and temporary lifting aids.
• Extension of accountabilities through to loadout.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in design and construction essential, preferably in far-east yards in the structural discipline.
• Qualifications in structural and civil discipline.
• Knowledge of BS EN and ISO standards relevant to discipline and EEMUA specifications.
• Heavy lift analysis experience.
• Knowledge of Korean construction methods would be an advantage.
• Proven to be able to work in multi-discipline, multi-cultural teams.
• Knowledge of welding codes, processes and inspection a plus.
