The Company:
Our Client is the Operator of this Multi-Billion $ Project with involves the construction of an integrated wellhead, production and accommodations platform.

The Project is currently in Fabrication Stage at one of the Top 3 Yards in Korea and the client is committed to technology innovations that reduce environmental impacts and enhance safety.
Gas from the field will be exported to the UK via a gas pipeline.

The Role:
- Liaise with SHI and sub-contractor personnel to follow closely all ongoing work activities related to his given project.
- Assure all project related specifications and quality requirements are being followed.
- Assure that ongoing work is being carried out by latest revision of AFC drawings
- Participate to quality audits related to structural activities.
- Monitor the structural work carried out by Contractor, to ensure that the structural construction procedures and project safety requirement are followed
- Monitor all ongoing work sites given by supervisor to access progress
- Issue and follow up of quality observations, non conformance and corrective action reports. Propose solutions.
- Ensure that acceptable standards of welding quality are maintained and that repair rates remain at an acceptable level.
- Perform inspections as per STR ITP in subcontractor premises or in the SHI yard including fit-up, dimensional control, welding and NDT inspections.
- Ensure that Contractor maintains accurate welding records throughout the contractual period.
- Participate to Prefabrication Subcontractors qualification evaluation process in relation with structural work.
- Participate to the constructability reviews.
- Work in close cooperation with the CPY welding engineer and QC supervisor whenever he/she requires support.
- Work in close cooperation with the Construction piping, surface, E/I and mechanical inspectors which shall also perform inspections and test activities in their disciplines within the same working area.
- Format a report to show percentages of progress of all block assemblies and overall project completion percentages not by sub-contractor schedule but by his own assessments.
- Prepare and update on weekly basis reporting on structural activities and highlight to the management all areas of concern which may impact the quality.
- Monitors the implementation of safety procedures and working practices by Contractor
- Adhere to and effectively communicate Project HSE Policies.
- Proactively intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report.
- Being “visible in the field” and “walking the talk” with HSE as a priority.
- Attend Project HSE meetings, training and inspection as when invited to.
- Consult HSE team in the execution and planning of key critical activities.
- Attend Safety tours and specific Inspections when invited to.
- Ensure that HSE procedures & Policies are properly implemented.
- Participate, carry out JSA and hazard reviews when related to structural activities
- Welding inspector level 2
- NDT inspector level 2
- Large experience on similar topside at equivalent position.
- Familiar with NCS requirements (PSA/Norsok) and TOTAL SA General Specifications.
