The Company:
Our Client is a global Energy Leader with a strong commitment to Honest and Ethical Business Practices within the Oil and Gas Industry. Our Client operates as an independent energy company. It has four segments: Oil and Gas, Syncrude, Energy Marketing, and Chemicals. The Oil and Gas segment explores, develops, and produces crude oil, natural gas, and related products.

The Role:
Technical Authority and Subject Matter Specialist in all Structural Integrity matters.
The Technical Authority performs a key role in ensuring that the risks associated with Major Accident Hazards are fully understood and are being effectively managed.
Provide direct and impartial feedback on the integrity status of Company UK facilities and where concerns exists ensure these are effectively communicated to Company senior management.
The Technical Authority will support and share the companies drive for technical excellence.

Deliver and have ownership of Structural aspects within UKMS Assurance Standards.
Own and maintain structural Performance Standards and assess compliance with those standards.
Act as SME for all Structural equipment (including topsides, jackets & subsea.)
Works to ensure all UKMS Structural processes, procedures and systems are in place for identifying and managing engineering risk for Structural integrity assurance activities.
Deliver structural integrity status to the operation through the integrity management process.
Support the technical structural requirements associated operational integrity activities [inspection queries, non-standard operations, deferments etc.]
Provide authority input to support the technical structural requirements associated project activities [review, technical/project queried.]
Ensure by process approval and audit that all structural support is managed and conducted in accordance with company and regulatory policy, standards and procedures.
Engage with failure investigation processes to ensure either first pass or detailed RCA are conducted where required and share lessons as appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified or/ equivalent vocational standard.
Professionally qualified e.g. Member of Institute of Structural Engineers.
Up-to-date knowledge of standards, the relevant UK legislation and how verification schemes interfaces with the Safety Case.
A self starter with extensive experience in structural operations support.
Extensive understanding of oil and gas offshore operations.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Ability to influence at a senior level.
Recognised technical ability and expertise within the structural community.
