The Role:
•Provide Structural Technical Authority function in operations
•Provide Structural Technical Authority function in assuring projects
•Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and business best practices relevant to discipline
•Owner of discipline designated Performance Standards.
•Support development to deliver the engineering concept from field development plans into project specifications.
•Liaise with the independent verification body (IVB) and the UK HSE (offshore division) on issues related to structural integrity.
•Structural Management for Asset Life Extension (ALE)
•Support operated asset projects in the specification of structural components or systems and the management of any specialist contractors.
•Support project teams during project execution with discipline reviews, audits etc.
•Participate in maintaining a set of corporate standards and guidelines to provide a basis for assuring the technical quality of deliverables.
•Support developments in evaluation of potential acquisitions and new ventures
•Supporting the Asset teams in the provision of advice in enhancing operating practice performing/ co-ordinating troubleshooting, studies etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Team worker and Strong safety leadership skills
•Strong networking and communication skills externally and internally – ability to cultivate and build strong internal and external relationships with business counterparts
•Excellent written and presentation skills, with ability to adapt style and content of presentation for both technical and non technical audiences
•Ability to display confidence in own abilities and is motivated to deliver
•Ability to work across multiple activities and manage deadlines and conflicting priorities

•Can demonstrate the ability to apply creative thinking, risk assess, problem solve effectively and develop solutions while communicating intentions and progress to all levels
•Technical expert with an ability to provide technical leadership
•Ability to analyse problems, assess risk profile, determine action, and develop solutions, communicating intentions and progress to all levels
•Can effectively plan

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Related BSc/MEng degree
•Appropriate Chartered Engineering Status
•A willingness to travel offshore for ad-hoc platform visits.
