The Company:
Working on a significant E&P project on the client side, with an established international company.

The Role:
Be part of the Company QC Team following up the topside main module structural fabrication and construction / erection. Monitor all fabrication / construction related processes and activities and verify strict compliance with the specified requirements.

Ensure that Company HSE&Q policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work. Adhere to Contractor’s safety rules and requirements.
General HSE follow-up and monitoring.
Review work scopes, specifications and work procedures (to include drawings) to determine the inspection, testing and procedural requirements.
Perform regular quality assessment/element audit and verification activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plan.
Keep the Construction Superintendent and Quality Control Coordinator updated with the status of quality issues.
Perform Witness and Hold point inspections in accordance with the approved ITP
Monitor production processes.
Regular review of Contractor’s and Suppliers’ completion files (to include all records of inspection and testing) for accuracy and adequacy.
Report non-conformities and improvement areas and notify the Construction Superintendent / Quality Control Coordinator.
Verify through surveillance activities and attending witness and hold inspection points in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans, that construction activities from goods receiving through to final acceptance are performed in compliance with the contract and that the final product meets all requirements.
Verification activities shall include as needed to ensure that the following are adequately performed by the Contractor:
Availability of approved work procedures / fabrication drawings.
Materials / goods receiving inspection and reporting.
Materials verification and traceability is maintained.
Dimensional checks and fit up inspection prior to welding.
Verification of welders’ qualifications and records.
Adequacy of WPS selected.
Monitoring of welding processes.
Visual inspection of completed welds
Required extent of NDE applied and results / reports reviewed.
Dimensional control activities are performed as required and results are acceptable.
Records of inspection and testing are issued on a timely manner
Documentation is compiled progressively as required and of acceptable quality
Produce a Daily Surveillance Report and Weekly Report to summarize all tasks undertaken each day/week and the status of any work found to be unsatisfactory.
Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems.
As applicable monitor assigned area welding performance (i.e. repair percentage) and perform analysis where high repair rate is encountered.
Attend and contribute to site and project technical meetings as necessary.
To be informed of current important issues and information on the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Similar position on large Oil & Gas Projects / EPC Contracts
Knowledgeable in industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, AWS.Preferred working knowledge and experience with Norwegian offshore engineering & construction codes and standards
Minimum 10 years experience in structural fabrication and welding inspection.
Minimum 8 years experience working with SE Asian Contractors.
Minimum 5 years recent experience in NDE results / report interpretation.
Demonstrated regulatory competence for the petroleum industry.
Experience of and aptitude for working in a diverse cultural environment.
