The Role:
OVERVIEW:
•A project manager with asset integrity experience to optimise availability of the assets. Asset integrity experience requires both a thorough understanding of subsea inspection, repair and maintenance and reactive fault rectification. The assets engineer requires understanding of both subsea pipeline and subsea controls and the commercial environment including production impacts of any work. The most important particular skill for this person is the pipeline IRM understanding. A good general knowledge of all subsea activities is key, as is the ability to project-manage and comply with corporate processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Communication of status, plans and progress on issues related to an asset via a weekly report
•Maintenance of Company Management System documents as required
•Offshore mobilisation as Senior Technical Rep on both DSVs and Platforms
•Routine Offshore site visits (typically 3 per year)
•Long term planning related to a specific asset(s)
Inspection, Repair, Monitoring (IRM) and Asset Fault Diagnosis and Remediation
•Know and understand the asset (understand design intent, understand degradation mechanisms, understand what and how to inspect and monitor to mitigate degradation, know the repair options)
•Follow Company Rules and General Specifications for asset integrity including request for derogations when appropriate.
•Maintain IRM and asset condition (Nexus-IC) database
•Ensure adequate spares
•Keep asset documentation updated
•Generate subsea and pipeline IRM and breakdown investigation, proposed solutions and repair workscopes for assets, including advice to management on priorities.
•Onshore support to offshore activities
•Technical approval of offshore operations

Project Management
•Management of all Subsea & Pipeline workscopes related to an asset, including the Management of contractors / vendors / suppliers / consents/ for the workscope.
•Communication of status, plans and progress on issues related to an asset via a weekly report
•Management of the budget related to a particular asset(s) including the raising of AFEs as required (typically £4-£6million but for some fields up to £10 million in agreed budget each year.) All planning, including long term planning related to a specific asset(s)
•Where a Pipeline has an interface with another Operator the development and maintenance of a positive relationship on technical issues and ensuring the timely exchange of information related to pipeline integrity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree in a technical discipline
•Relevant technical experience in the offshore oil industry, including working in a project environment
•Knowledge and experience of pipeline/subsea operations and related inspection procedures
•Experience with the management and control of specialist contracts
