The Company:

The Role:
•Acts as owner of Technical Integrity of all subsea assets and pipelines systems.
•Ensures an Integrity Management System is in place for all subsea assets and pipeline systems. Integrity Management includes: As-built data management; Inspection, Maintenance, Monitoring and Testing works; planned and unplanned Repairs; Prevention activities; Degraded Situations and possible Mitigation, Emergency Preparedness, such as EPRS, Emergency Response plans, Sparing Philosophy etc.; and feedback loops to update condition and capture lessons learned.
•Monitors and ensures that integrity strategies are implemented for subsea assets and pipeline systems.
•Acts as the Integrity Processes Budget Custodian for the implementation of all subsea, pipelines and operating wells technical integrity studies and field works, collating implementation costs from the Head of Underwater Operations, Asset Engineers and Well Construction and Maintenance department.
•Ensures adequate control of integrity related work and reporting of work progress.
•Ensures provision of up-to-date detailed annual and long term plans and budgets.
•Manages a team of Asset Engineers and supports the team in the implementation of integrity strategies and the determination of annual work plans, spares holdings and replacement part management ready for intervention campaigns.
•Contract Management of Subsea and Pipelines contracts that cover more than one asset (e.g. Integrity Management Support Services, Pigging Operational Support contracts). Overseeing contract management of Subsea and Pipelines contracts that cover a single asset (e.g. Intelligent Pigging, ad-hoc Technical Integrity Assessment Studies, RCA etc.) where responsibility may be delegated to the Asset Engineers. (Contract Management of Subsea Intervention Contracts is held elsewhere).
•Determines Asset Threat Levels based on known integrity and asset condition data and provides quarterly status management reports.
•Interfaces with Offshore Field Reporting systems, Field Operations Managers and Offshore Platform personnel, in order to appraise daily integrity issues, diagnosis and potential courses of action.
•Actively manages the company and OP/SUB Integrity Management Information Systems, ensuring that identified integrity issues are tracked and action items progressed to close-out.
•Prioritises Integrity issues and provides recommendations for annual work plans, timely to the planning horizons associated with the reserving of offshore implementation resources and wider planning constraints.
•Provides input into Integrity failures diagnosis and courses of action, in association with the Pipelines and Subsea Facilities Technical Authorities.
•With the support of Technical Authorities and the Head of Underwater Operations, provide costed recommendations of required offshore work tasks as a conceptual plan, provides justification and execution priority, and steers through management approval to form an approved work list. Maintains a revision controlled Approved Work List and advises the work implementation teams of work approval. Where required, ensures that modifications to infrastructure hardware or process are approved through the Management of Change Process.
•Sets work tasks and priorities for Asset Engineers, provides support in solutions derivation and is responsible for deliverables quality and delivery to a schedule as deemed necessary by integrity needs and wider planning constraints.
•Responsible for timely presenting conceptual level job list for approval to OP/SUB Manager and Field Manager.
•Ensures that from the Approved Work List, Asset Engineers prepare Scopes of Work to be passed to implementation Contractors for development into detailed work execution procedures. Reviews and approves that the detailed work procedures will meet the Scope of Work objectives.
•Ensures that Asset Engineers provide necessary inputs into platform and subsea facilities shutdown plans and ensures that any equipment isolations associated with offshore work, are agreed and implemented prior to work commencement.
•Ensures that Asset Engineers monitor work execution and that the Scope of Work objectives are being met and that unexpected results are dealt with accordingly.
•Receives work execution close-out reports and appraises the completeness of the project and any possible need for further follow-up. Ensures that appropriate information is up-dated into the Asset Integrity Data-bases and asset drawings.
•Ensures that project lessons learned are up-dated into the OP/SUB and Total Group tracking systems.
•Ensures and has input to technical, quality and management audit plans of key integrity contractors.
•Input to the development process of new Subsea Systems to ensure that the lessons learned from existing systems are incorporated in new systems as part of a continuous improvement process.
•Involvement in the engineering for major modifications to Subsea & Pipeline Infrastructure.
•Line Manage the Subsea & Pipelines Asset Engineer team.
•Deputise for the Subsea & Pipelines Manager as requested.
•Undertake Duty Engineer responsibilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in a technical discipline
Appropriate technical experience in the offshore oil industry, including working in a project environment
Knowledge and experience of pipeline/subsea operations
Knowledge and experience of inspection operations, analysis and interpretation
Experienced in the management and control of subsea/pipeline inspection and integrity related contracts
Experienced in subsea asset integrity management
Experienced team leader
