The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Technical:
The connections engineer is responsible for delivery of the multi bore connection system and the MeG flexible jumper system for the Wheatstone project. The role encompasses but is not limited to the activities listed below.
• Oversee and ensure the contractor meets requirements of contracted scope of work for multi bore connectors design, documentation, testing and delivery. This will require the candidate to develop a proficient understanding of Company and Industry standards.
• Oversee and ensure the contractor meets requirements of contracted scope of work for MeG flexible design, documentation, testing and delivery. This will require the candidate to develop a proficient understanding of Company and Industry standards.
• Ensure integration of the above equipment in the subsea system design and across respective contractors scope, i.e. pipelay and subsea installation
• Actively work with Q/A to ensure quality for responsible scope
• Ensure contractor activities are completed on schedule
• Provide guidance and comment on VO’s to company’s commercial team
• Internal relationships – COMPANY pipeline, installation and equipment teams
• External relationship – subsea equipment supplier

Reporting:
Regular reporting will be via COMPANYS Connections Engineer who will be located in the same office. Although this is a Perth based position overseas travel is required to Equipment Supplier locations in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Norway.

HES: The candidate is required to actively participate in COMPANYS Incident and Injury Free (IIF) and Operational Excellence (OE) programmes. The candidate is required to be visible and verbal in promoting these COMPANY tenents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified (Engineering/Marine/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Material), but relevant experience may be acceptable
7 years subsea experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to work within a small team
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of appropriate industry standards
• Experience with FMC systems
• Experience with rigid spool connections
• Experience with flexible jumper manufacture and installation
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to manage engineering consultants to defined schedules and work collaboratively
