A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Construction Engineer - T&I Fabrication Interface to work on a 6/2 rotation.

The Construction Engineer - T&I Fabrication Interface is a key member of the Transport and Installation (PMT) responsible for delivering the installation engineering for the offshore (T&I and Subsea) work scopes in accordance with Company's Q&HSE expectations.


Roles & Responsibilities:

General
• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,
• Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors with one team approach to facilitate successful scope delivery,
• Reviews the competency of the contractors delivery team and ensures a high standard of resources are in-place to successfully execute the work,
• Manage the contractor installation engineering performance and scope delivery,
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to Department expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the T&I Team and the contractors,
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Management of Change,
• Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through Company processes.
• Will be delegation of authority for Project Engineer Team Lead as and when required.

Installation Engineering
Manage all the preparation work for the installation of the Subsea and Facilities infrastructure from the Heavy Lift and Transportation Construction Vessels which will include:
• Managing the readiness of equipment, personnel, in-country documentation and closure of actions via operational readiness processes.
• Leading the technical interface for the scope of work between the installation contractor, vessel and offshore facilities teams.
• Actively identifying and managing the close out of technical and delivery risks.
• Maintaining close contact with and supporting the installation engineering team to ensure timely approval of engineering queries, deviations and installation documentation
• Supporting the offshore installation and execution of the works
• Providing input to the long term planning and day to day scheduling of installation activities
• Tracking the execution costs including the assessment of contractor variations, invoices and deliverables

As a member of the T&I PMT the project engineer will be required to support areas of delivery outside direct responsibility including:
• Review of installation engineering and procedures outside of the package responsibility
• Supporting other team members to deliver their areas of responsibility
• Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years subsea engineering and offshore installation experience
• Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities
