The Role:
The role is part of a multifunctional project team responsible for managing the upstream scope including, detailed design, construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning and start-up of the Platform and subsea / pipeline facilities.

This position is within the Upstream Subsea, Flowlines & Pipelines (SSFP) Team. The Subsea Controls Engineer will work onsite in the Perth, Western Australia engineering site location. A critical role of this position will be in support of numerous aspects as required to deliver the subsea production controls and SSIV controls systems, including interface management and resolution, from engineering, fabrication, testing, load-out and installation through to commissioning and handover to production Operations.

Working within the SSFP Team, the Subsea Controls Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to the subsea controls and umbilicals systems package lead, and working closely with the subsea team responsible persons. This will entail occasional business travel from Perth, Australia to the Subsea Equipment Vendor (SEV) facilities in Singapore, Malaysia and Norway during Phase 4, and to the platform build location in Korea. Further duties will include participation in post-build test programs (EFAT and SIT) through to the installation and pre-commissioning of the equipment subsea and the integration of the Platform systems.

Normal duties associated with this role include communicating issues and solutions efficiently and effectively through project processes, reporting and proactively contributing to the HES culture.
Demonstrate leadership in adding to the HES culture at the manufacturing sites as part of the subsea equipment delivery team.

Maintain effective communications and the free flow of information between the Subsea Controls and Umbilicals engineering team (Perth based), and site engineers at the SEV engineering & manufacturing (in Singapore, and Norway).

Support the effective interface between the subsea controls and umbilicals team and appropriate stakeholders.
Maintain positive and effective working relationship with other upstream stakeholders, including but not limited to Operations Team, Technical Services Team, Business Services Team and Downstream Team.
Develop your skills and knowledge via internal and external training as relevant to your position.
