The Role:
JOB PURPOSE: Primary purpose is to provide technical expertise and guidance within Subsea Controls & Distribution Engineering to brown and green field projects in Norway, with specific responsibility for delivery, handover and start-up of the subsea control and distribution scope within Norway projects

• Delivery of subsea control and distribution systems within Norway projects, including safety, cost, schedule, and quality from definition through to operation.
• Able to deliver subsea controls systems based on requirements for :
- The overall subsea systems, equipment and their interfaces
- Umbilicals and distribution systems
- Hydraulics systems and equipment
- Chemical injection systems
- Subsea power, instrumentation and control distribution
- Subsea peripheral equipment / instruments


• A good working knowledge of subsea controls systems are required, such as from FMC, Aker Controls, and OneSubsea.
• A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality.
• Subsea project delivery experience including various aspects of project execution - design, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up;. umbilical, distribution and control components.
• Subsea system operational support experience; . wells start-up (U2H), fault finding, rectification, and maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of client operational requirements and philosophies.
• Awareness of contract management processes (e.g. detailed design, construction, installation and/or procurement contracts).
• Highly developed team player qualities, good communication skills and the ability to work with customers, wider engineering networks and other team members.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Candidates with experience and knowledge from subsea projects will be preferred. Base location would be Stavanger. Frequent visits to various test sites on Norway and the UK will be expected. Also, offshore certificate would be needed during commissioning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc degree or higher in controls, electrical, or equivalent engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in Subsea Engineering or equivalent.
