The Company:
The position shall be based in Kongsberg, Norway but may require frequent travel to other Contractor sites in Europe and Asia, as well as to Angola (onshore and offshore)her Contractor sites in Europe and Asia, as well as to Angola (onshore and offshore)

The Role:
Assist the SPS Technical Manager in:
Before contract award:
- Definition of the technical requirements for the subsea control system, including SPS equipment to be installed subsea and SPS equipment to be integrated on the FPSO.
- Preparing the relevant chapters of the contract documents and participating in clarifications with Contractors

After contract award:
- Supervising the contract execution with regards to the subsea control system
- Managing interfaces with surface control system and the SURF and Drilling packages (as applicable)
- Supervising Contractor’s service personnel and providing assistance offshore during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

ACTIVITIES:
- Prepare basic engineering documents and review and comment on basic engineering documents prepared by others
- Participate in the evaluation of contractor’s technical tender, and in subsequent clarifications and negotiations
- Supervise the contract execution
- Contribute to the success of the interfacing with surface control system and the SURF and Drilling packages (as applicable)
- Supervise Contractor’s service personnel and provide assistance offshore during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

OBSERVATIONS ON ACTIVITIES AND MISSIONS:
 The SUBSEA CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER will join an existing Project multi-disciplined team which is working on several Brown Field projects which are being executed by different SPS Contractors, and which are at different stages.
 The SUBSEA CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER will be required to represent COMPANY for all aspects of his Work Package including not just engineering, but also procurement follow-up, planning, and quality control.

SERVICE DIMENSION:
- Combined SPS package values is about 120 MM $ (2015). This could be increased significantly should further Brown Field projects be given approval to proceed.
- The interface with FPSO Control System is critical to the Project success. Properly executed commissioning of new Brown Field wells is essential in order to avoid impact on production from existing wells.
- Future reliability of the system during the 20 years of production needs to be very high and is governed by choices made during the basic engineering and project execution phases.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Qualification : Senior subsea control engineer with engineering degree
 Professional Experience (number of years) : 5 years experience in subsea projects
Skills: Engineering, Construction, Production, HSE, Contract management, Cost control, Planning
Good level of English
