The Role:
The Cost Engineer is responsible for all procurement, invoicing and cost reporting. They are responsible for providing accurate and timely reforecasting against the budget to the Engineers accountable for executing the work and to the Cost Management Lead for internal reporting and overall assurance.

Raising & Management of Cost Reports within area of responsibility

Provide assurance, routing, logging and process of Invoices & PO’s

Guidance to external vendors on PO’s, cost reporting and allocation

Collation, management & challenge of vendor cost reports

Ensure correct allocation of costs to codes

Monitor and report costs against each cost centre

Total approved budget
Status against budget
Total commitments
Total invoiced
Changes in the month
Cost phasing
Risks & Opportunities

Review of cost reports with Engineers & Cost Management Lead

Update cost reporting system

Liaise with the Engineers, Cost Team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate cost updates.

Cost analysis to assist with overall cost management data feeds for Monthly Sub Function/AOM Meetings

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excel
Database knowledge
Maximo or similar PO system
