The Role:
•Produce Specifications and scopes of work for new equipment, replacement equipment and the installation of that equipment, including liasing with appropriate support personnel within the Company to ensure that all of the appropriate requirements are addressed and specified.
•Manage the day to day execution of equipment supply with the chosen equipment vendors, this is not limited exclusively to the review of drawings and information, the management of interfaces and attending progress and management meetings as required.
•Capable of managing integration testing, that is not only limited to the Subsea production control system in isolation, but also when applied to Subsea installed structures such as Xmas Trees and Manifolds. In addition, an understanding of platform interfaces would be beneficial in managing these external interfaces to the Subsea systems, and the applicable levels of testing that would be required.
•Position holder will be responsible for Subsea engineering activities associated with the project scope including: FEED, Detailed Design, procurement, fabrication, installation methods and ultimately execution of the offshore scope which will include the following tasks:
•Oversight of a FEED Study for a new subsea manifold structure.
•Technical interface with drilling, facilities department and other project team members
•Preparation of tender scopes of work for long lead materials
•Technical evaluation of subcontractor bid submissions, preparation of technical bid comparisons and support during any tender clarifications
•Participation in Kick-Off, Pre-Production and Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) and Supplier coordination meetings
•Management of vendor packages to ensure they meet specified technical requirements, within the agreed scope of work, comment on engineering deliverables.
•Continued technical support during negotiations with subcontractors
•Review and comment on vendor/subcontractor documentation, compilation of comments from other disciplines
•Technical interface with drilling, facilities department and other project team members
•Verify applicable packages are in compliance with projects technical requirements
•Monitor and directs quality activities related to the Subsea scope
•Assist in technical decision making and/or Management of Change
•Identify and contribute to the project risk management plan. Highlight potential mitigation measures and implement as directed by the Project Engineer
•Participate in Inspections and Testing of Package Units including any SIT’s/FAT’s
•Assistance with preparation of project plans, schedules and status reports
•Oversight of offshore construction activities including trips offshore as required
•Finalization of Final Vendor Documentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of piping systems, valves, manifold structures and subsea interface equipment typical of a multiwall subsea development.
•Position holder shall be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline, have an excellent command of written and spoken English, a high degree of computer literacy and Microsoft software.
•Experience of the design, modification and maintenance of subsea systems is expected, and experience with an Installation Contractor would be beneficial.
