Subsea Engineer

The Company:
International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company

The Role:
• Review and comment efficiently on the key following subjects:
o Overall design from conceptual to detail engineering, installation engineering and construction/ procurement support of field architecture, subsea system, control, umbilicals, pipeline and riser
o PFD, UFD, and P&ID drawings
o Equipment design, specification, and selection (Wellheads, Manifolds, Flowlines, Controls and subsea well intervention equipment)
o Subsea cost estimates (CAPEX, OPEX, and ABEX)
o Liaises with facilities design, subsurface, drilling, and operation teams to ensure life-of-field requirements (flow, lifting, testing) are built into the designs and cost estimation.
• Ensures program amendments are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed and all activities are conducted safely in accordance to the Company's SSHE standards.
• Evaluate/validate tender proposals from Subsea equipment vendors.
• Supervise Subsea Equipment vendor to ensure cost and schedule adherence and manage any design or manufacturing issues that may arise.
• Participate in HSE related workshop (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, QRA), risk workshop, PTR, PPR&C and others workshop as required to meet company standard.
• Participate in the technical selection of vendor to ensure the selected vendor has the right technical expertise in both equipment and personnel.
• Documents lesson learnt from post project review and identifies areas of improvements.
• Support project planning to develop Project Execution Plan and overall integrated project schedule.
• Knowledge of UK, Norwegian and Dutch sectors of the North Sea, Australian and Myanmar.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering or science degree/diploma from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with extensive experience in oil and gas subsea well intervention and development projects from design through procurement, manufacturing, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Fully conversant with relevant subsea codes, standards and industry practices.
• Able to convey and influence outcomes that ensure project requirements are understood and achieved.
• Working knowledge on subsea equipment specification and industry standards.
• Use of computer software – Mathcad, Caesar II, SACS, Flexcom 3D, ANSYS.
