The Role:
Support the Subsea ETL in delivering the option screening and detailed design of the riser system and flowline design being performed by subcontractors with emphasis on providing technical assurance of the engineering contractor.

Responsibilities & objectives
1.Assurance review of riser and flowline design documents including reports, studies, drawings, specifications and datasheets etc to ensure they meet project requirements and comply with applicable ETPs and International Codes and Standards and Subsea Basis of Design.
2.Lead specific riser and flowline design issues as they arise. Ensure the timely closure of outstanding engineering issues including riser structural design, buckling and walking design, other mechanical design issues, flexible integrity risks and geohazards.
3.Lead the design of the buckling and walking schemes for the flowlines.
4.Assurance review of flowline & export pipelines technical packages for pipelines related procurement and contracts including pipelay, coating, diving and DBA to ensure they meet project requirements and comply with applicable ETPs and international codes and standards and Subsea and Export Pipelines Basis of Design.
5.Support the review of engineering deviations and clarifications.
6.Ensure the management of engineering design changes.
7.Support engineering document and progress schedule reviews as required.
8.Support other engineering activities as directed by Subsea ETL including risk assessments, HAZOPs, integrity management and repair strategies, collection of pipeline lessons and experiences.
9.Ensure riser and flowline risks are identified and managed effectively for this workscope.
10. Maintain links with relevant discipline SETAs and ensure effective transfer of lessons to and from the group.
11.Assist in the development of younger engineers in the team by providing technical coaching, delegating work and actively supporting delivery of parts of this workscope through them.
12.Ensure the Lead Pipeline Engineer is kept fully appraised of key issues.
13.Promote safety & environmental responsibility in all aspects of riser and flowline design.
14.Promote strong HSE performance and uphold the company code of conduct
