The Role:
• Assist the SURF delivery Manager by taking the role of HSE Lead responsible for the HSE function. Assist the Project HSE Manager (functional relationship) in the performance of his duties in ensuring that Company HSE Policy & Objectives are incorporated in the SURF Work Packages.
• To support the HSE activities performed by nominated Installation Contractor, ensuring that project deliverables are available in a timely manner with quality & accuracy of prime importance.
• To report progress on deliverables etc. to the SURF Delivery Manager and Project HSE Manager.
• As occasion demands, to conduct HSE Audits at Contractors and sub-contractor premises or sites in support of the SURF activities, this may be as Lead Auditor or as witness to Contractor audits.
• To liaise with the HSE Manager in the interaction with Topsides, Hull & well completion teams to ensure that integration of information (in particular safety & environment) is addressed satisfactorily.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant degree in a suitable engineering discipline (or equivalent college education)
• 5-10 years on major Subsea projects with excellent technical & practical knowledge of HSE Engineering relating to design, fabrication, testing & installation activities.
• Sound background in Oil and Gas industry HSE & reliability/safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, etc.)
• Extensive HSE Management experience in deep water project activities
• Field experience through construction projects and/or operation with safety background
• Experience in marine operations and construction activities
