The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The position of Subsea Installation Coordinator is working on the Upstream Subsea team for a multi-billion dollar LNG project.

The role is part of a multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines procurement, construction and installation activities associated with the Upstream development.

Reporting to the Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager, this individual has particular responsibility for the management, coordination and technical assurance of all activities associated with the construction and installation of the Upstream subsea equipment including subsea structures, pipeline tie-ins, umbilicals and precommissioning.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the planning, completion and assurance of contract and procurement packages required for execution of the subsea equipment installation scope of work including the development of specific sections of contractual documentation.
• Support subsea team members in the development of fit-for-purpose designs that facilitate optimised installation and intervention activities.
• Provide support during the Subsea design assurance review process.
• Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule.
• Assist the Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager to develop budget and staffing plan to build a high performance, multi-disciplined engineering and surveillance team with expertise necessary to achieve project objectives. Ensure technical specialists are effectively utilised.
• Assist Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager to ensure effective project closeout including documentation at end of each phase.
• Effective interfacing with subsea design, facilities, drilling, commissioning, and start-up personnel.
• Supervising approx 3-4 direct reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
Previous experience in subsea equipment / pipelines construction and installation engineering / management for the oil / gas industry, including both Contractor and Operator roles.
In depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction and installation (diver and diverless) of subsea equipment associated with the oil / gas industry including structures installation, pipeline tie-ins, umbilicals installation, stabilisation and precommissioning.
Specific offshore installation experience of both diver and diverless installation activities and be able to demonstrate ability to manage and coordinate a complex subsea construction / installation programme.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to achieve milestones, work collaboratively and manage a team of package engineers. Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture.
Formal HSE management training preferred.
