The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Main Duties:

• Monitor and oversee the Installation Contractor in the engineering, planning, fabrication, field installation, and testing of new subsea developments ensuring that the execution program meets all design, safety, quality, construction and regulatory requirements.
• Provide stewardship for meeting project goals for safety, operability, reliability and environmental performance.
• Review key project plans / systems / procedures that impact safety and quality of execution (e.g. Installation procedures, Change Management, Interface Management, Procurement Plans, etc) and ensure alignment / linkage to internal project team and facility requirements.
• Steward development of project deliverables such as the project SIMOPS plans, Communications plans, and Safety plans associated with subsea installation activities.
• Provide leadership and support to project during offshore execution phase on the Installation Vessel as a project engineer/client Representative working with Company Vessel Management Team.
• Manage interfaces to resolve issues between operations personnel, fabricators, suppliers, and contractors in support of subsea installation activities.
• Ensure all members of the project management team, together with supporting disciplines, are kept informed of overall project requirements and/or problems arising within the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant subsea oil and gas project experience
• Flexible and rigid pipe installation experience
• Experience in manifold installation, SDU’s and flying leads
• Offshore experience during installation campaigns
• Experience with subsea installation engineering analysis.
• Experience with project FEED development, Tendering and Contract negotiations for new developments
• Detailed, thorough, and disciplined hands-on approach in carrying out assigned tasks and contractor oversight
• Degreed Engineer with specialization and proven experience in subsea projects during the design, fabrication and installation phases
• Contractor management experience and skills
• Working knowledge of the Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Regulations

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Competent in use of MS Office software suite
